since December 1994 to March 2008 he was Editor-in-Chief for the magazine "Der Spiegel" and resigned from "Spiegel TV", but is still one of the CEOs.
Apart from that he is author of various Film- and TV-documentations among them "Tod in Stammheim -
der Weg der Ulrike Meinhof", 1976; "Der Kandidat", 1980; "Sag Nein", 1983; "Krieg und Frieden", 1983).
